Street Arts
The mother of all updates
A massive update today, the largest most probably for some time; as I have mostly finished the site as I had intended, I am moving on to some other projects and probably will only update the site once or twice a week with a post and any changes to locations I come across. The update includes a mini guide and nearly 50 new or replacement photographs, many of works not featured previously.
Part of the reason for such a large update was that it was an overcast but reasonably bright day without shadows in Melbourne today and I was able to photograph some locations that always seem to be in shadow whenever I can get to them. I also photographed some locations on Smith Street which I won't add to the Smith Street page, as it has enough already (and some have to left to be found through exploration) but I will probably include these in posts at a later date along with others that didn't make it to the static suburb pages
The update includes:
A 12 page pdf condensed version of the Melbourne Street Art 86: Fitzroy page, accessible from a link under the map on the page. It is hosted on scribd where you can download the file or print it. I may move these to Google Docs shortly but they will be just as accessible there. These mini guides include only key photographs, but all the location information from the web page and are designed to be printed and taken out on the 86 itself in search of street art.
I will also be doing one of these for Collingwood, Clifton Hill and Northcote but not for Thornbury, which has few enough street art locations to put all necessary information from the page on the map.
Fitzroy Napier Street: Replaced several of the photos. One example below (this one is less in shadow and has a more lively atmosphere):
Little George Street: Added several photos showing the garage area behind Gertrude Street, and a small work on a wall (samples below):
George Street: Added a piece on the north side of Gertrude Street:
Little Smith Street: Replaced some photos and added one detail (sample below):
CollingwoodWebb Street: Added 12 photos to the wall and alley on the right side (sample below):
Charles Street: Replaced 'Creation of Adam in Space' photos and added 7 new ones of other works in the street (sample below):
Otter Street: Replaced some photos in alley on the left and added seven new photos of works in Bedford Street, on the right side of Otter Street (samples below):
Clifton Hill: Replaced some of the photos in location 6 with ones without shadows.
Northcote: Replaced some photos in the narrow alley next to Wesley Anne. I won't say 'sample below' this time - I am sure you get the idea by now.

Smith Street, Collingwood Extra
The following photos are from a location in Smith Street, Collingwood that I most probably would have included on the main page, if I had found it earlier. Well... actually I did find it a lot earlier, but at the time it was not a suitable time of day...
