My Saint Sebastian is a modern person in black underwear, someone in between the established norms of gender, persecuted for being different, for not fitting in. My Sebastian is being attacked with darts that symbolize “play”, being ridiculed, laughed at. But those darts can also hurt, they cut deep and leave scars, they exclude.
