LIL TUFFY POSTER EXHIBITION
For the past few years, Lil Tuffy has been designing posters that challenge the traditional roles of art and advertisement. Armed with an arsenal of styles and a keen eye for color and typography, Tuffy has made an international reputation for himself as a leader of the new generation of concert poster artists. His hand-screened posters adorn the walls of clubs, galleries and music fanatics in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia.
Drawing on the influences of past screen-printing greats such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and rock poster pioneer, Art Chantry, Tuffy has created provoking images that have graced hundreds of flyers and posters. He has created artwork for a variety of artists including Devo, The Flaming Lips, The Melvins, Bloc Party, X, Bright Eyes and the The White Stripes as well as for landmark events like CBGB's 30th Anniversary.
For one night only on the 11th October, as part of a European tour Jaguar Shoes will will be displaying a collection of his works through-out the Old Shoreditch Station from 7pm onwards....
