Bundoora discovery

Somewhat unexpectedly, the site now has a BUNDOORA - Plenty Road page. I was working up at Bundoora today, and stopped off at Grimshaw street on the way home to have a look at a work I had spied form the tram a couple of times. I  discovered the area around the Plenty Hill Shopping Centre and Grimshaw Street actually had enough works to justify a small page for the suburb.

Bundoora is a long way out from the last street art featured on this site, in Preston. It is about 20 minutes further on the tram and five or six kilometers as the crow flies, in a very different landscape from any of the suburbs featured previously:

It is also a big place with a lot of walking to do along a busy highway with little or no shade, so it may be some time before I get a chance to see if there is more street art in other parts of the suburb, but for now here are some highlights from the new Bundoora page.

These are mostly taken in shadow, but hopefully I will get better shots at some point in the next couple of weeks.

All of these photographs were taken close to 86 tram stop 65 (Grimshaw Street).

- Melbourne Street Art 86 – Coming Destinations
Following is an outline of what I intend to add to the site progressively over the next couple of months. Artists names: I am about to start adding these as captions to individual photographs. In many cases, it means combing various websites and...

- And Now For Something Completely Different...
A bit of a departure from the 86 tram route for a change... There are many fantastic locations along the 86 route, now fairly well documented on the main pages of this site, with the intention that a visitor could spend a day or half day riding the tram...

- Northcote Updates, Quick Gallery & Deleted Scenes
Northcote updates The Northcote map has now been added to the NORTHCOTE - High Street page. This was the last of the suburb page maps remaining to be added to the site. However... the Northcote mapping is not yet complete. Northcote has a lot of street...

- Light At The End Of The Tunnel
Melbourne Street Art 86 is almost complete in its initial form. All that remains is to add the street art location maps for Clifton Hill, Northcote and Thornbury, with the Clifton Hill most probably being added this evening. During the weekend I spent...

- Clifton Hill - Updates 14 January 2013
The majority of the Clifton Hill - Queens Pde page has been added now. Some of the photographs are quite dark, as I have only been able to get to the location in the evening when the light is not ideal for works orientated in certain directions...
