Northcote updates, quick gallery & deleted scenes

Northcote updates
The Northcote map has now been added to the NORTHCOTE - High Street page. This was the last of the suburb page maps remaining to be added to the site. However... the Northcote mapping is not yet complete.

Northcote has a lot of street art in a small area; I suspect it has the highest concentration of street art in the city. It was not possible to fit all the locations on one map. This map is the first of a series of four of the area, with the orange shaded zones being the locations that will be covered in more detail by maps two, three and four - though these will not be as complex as the example above. I am still working on these.

Depending on other demands on my time, I may do a temporary version of a Northcote guide using only the map locations above. The eventual finished guide will have all four maps and sub locations for some of the 14 main ones used in the above.

There has also been some replacements of photographs on the Northcote page and a few additions.

Quick Gallery
I have added a quick gallery to the Site guide page (now called Site guide and quick gallery) with a selection of about 10 highlights of photos of street art from each suburb page. This has existed in draft form for a while, but I hadn't found a sequence of images that seemed quite right until now.

Deleted Scenes
This is a new page, it is the last addition to the site. As I publish blog posts with examples of street art that didn't make it to the main suburb pages I will be adding these to the STREET ART - Deleted scenes page, to make it possible to see all the 'deleted' street art in suburb order in one location, without wading through blog posts to find them.

- Northcote, Extra....
This is the third of a series of photographs that did not make it to the main suburb pages on the site - these would have been on NORTHCOTE - High Street. In this case it was for the simple reason that they were too far away from the tram line (over 200m),...

- The Mother Of All Updates
A massive update today, the largest most probably for some time; as I have mostly finished the site as I had intended, I am moving on to some other projects and probably will only update the site once or twice a week with a post and any changes to locations...

- Light At The End Of The Tunnel
Melbourne Street Art 86 is almost complete in its initial form. All that remains is to add the street art location maps for Clifton Hill, Northcote and Thornbury, with the Clifton Hill most probably being added this evening. During the weekend I spent...

- Preston Secrets & Updates
I was working out at RMIT Bundoora today and so at the end of the day was travelling back through Preston towards Thornbury. I got out a few stops before Bell Street and walked down towards Thornbury (I ended up walking all the way to Northcote, which...

- Updates - Tuesday January 15
Two main updates today: Melbourne - Bourke Street I have added some of the photos from locations along Bourke Street in the City of Melbourne, from McKillops Street to Spring Street. I have only added two photos from Union Lane so far; there are so many...
