Shepard Fairey, 'Shoplifters Welcome Mural, London
Yesterday we featured some images of Shepard Fairey and his team as they began work on the large 'Shoplifters Welcome' mural in East London. Today saw the artist and his crew return to Ebor Street to complete the mural which was based on a previously released print edition collaboration between Jamie Reid and Shepard Fairey. This is the first of a number of murals planned for London ahead of his Sound & Vision show set to open next week at Stolen Space Gallery in the Truman Brewery, so expect plenty more coverage of the artist over the next few days.
With the scissor lifts out of the way, Shepard poses in front of the finished mural for the crowd of fans and photographers who were watching the mural go up.
