Remed & Saner for Wahaca Southbank

Remed & Saner

With a break in the shitty rainy summer weather we have been having this week, Hookedblog managed to finally capture some shots of The Wahaca Southbank Experiment in London. The Mexican restaurant chain's newest pop-up space is part of the Southbank's Festival of the World and is made up of 8 sea shipping containers perched on the terrace of the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Building on their long running association with street art, Wahaca teamed up with art curator Tristan Manco to select a series of artists to decorate the exterior of the temporary restaurant space. Having previous work with them on his Street Sketchbooks series, Tristan invited Mexican street artist Saner and French street artist REMED (based in Madrid) to London. The two artists collaborated on a series of vibrant pieces across the exterior of the building. Check out our photos of what the artist painted.

The Wahaca Southbank Experiment is located on the terrace under Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 8XX. The project will run for the next 18 months so plenty of time for people to check the work in person.
