IT'S A KLING THING
Kling by Kling is a fashion label created by London based Swede Karolina Kling. Since establishing the brand in 2006 the label has gained international attention for its distinctive prints and playful designs, which have been described as Viktor & Rolf on acid.
With a background in graphic design, Karolina has a unique take on fashion and regards the work she produces as 3D products rather than fashion garments. The beautiful and intricate patterns add an extra dimension to her work and have made it possible for her to develop collections that are simultaneously highly personal and commercially successful. Her collections are now distributed worldwide.
The exhibition at DreamBagsJaguarShoes will be Karolina's first solo and encompasses all aspects of her work. On the ground floor there will be a monochromatic multimedia installation that incorporates her patterns, clothing and characters in 2D and 3D form. The basement level will host a pictorial preview of her forthcoming collection 'Sparkling nights' which has been based on stories from her closest friends.
Private View: Thursday 13th November - 7pm till late
