Faile & JR at OFFSET2013 in Dublin, Ireland

Faile

The countdown has well and truly begun and we are starting to get really excited about this years OFFSET2013 Creative festival in the Irish capital, taking place from Friday 5th - 7th April at the impressive Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. Organised by some talented Irish friends of ours, artist and designer Peter O’Dwyer, designer Richard Seabrooke and illustrator Bren Byrne; OFFSET has become one of world’s most important creative events since it's launch in 2009. Each year sees them inviting 24 Irish and International creative talents to Dublin to talk about their work, their ideas and their inspirations.

Last year Hookedblog visited this annual Dublin festival for the first time, and while in attendance we were asked to join a discussion panel hosted by King Adz along with Conor Harrington, Evan Hecox, VON and Christian Guémy aka C215. We had a blast at the three day festival and although we were there specifically to see Shepard Fairy and Conor Harrington we equally enjoyed all the other speakers in attendance, some of which included VON, Friends With You, Olly Moss and Rizen. While the focus of Hookedblog is predominantly Street Art we also have a strong interest in Design, Illustration, Photography and we somehow managed to see 20 of the invited 24 speakers last year, which we were impressed with considering all the partying and Guinness we drank!

With us hailing from Ireland we are always gonna be a little biased, but we can't recommend this event enough, you will not be disappointed. The Offset team have outdone themselves again this year with another stellar line up, we are looking forward to seeing Bob Gill, Vaughan Oliver, Ben Boss, Oliver Toscani and not forgetting street art super stars Faile and Ted prize winner JR! Plus if that wasn't enough there is also the workshops, Q&A sessions, after parties and not forgetting the pub sessions with the speakers and attendees from around the globe that make this an unforgettable weekend. Check out the clip below from OFFSET2012 to get an idea of what you missed and then get involved now and book yourself a ticket, there are one day and weekend tickets available, plus flights to Dublin are not expensive! We hope to see some of there!

There is a whole bunch of info on the iloveoffset website, including the full line up of speakers and ticket info.Tickets are available now online at Ticketmaster here.
