THE PENCIL EXHIBITION

The Pencil Exhibition - 45 Years of Creativity from the D&AD Annuals opens tomorrow as part of The London Design Festival, the exhibition will display the complete set of Annuals for the first time. A leading creative designs the book under the stewardship of that year’s D&AD President, including Michael Wolff, Sir Alan Parker, Sir John Hegarty and Simon Waterfall.

Exclusively for the exhibition, each of D&AD’s past Presidents have selected their favourite piece of work from ‘their’ Annual. Two copies of each book will be on display, one closed to show the cover and one open to the work chosen by the President. Alongside the books will be a commentary by the President explaining the rationale behind their choice.

The exhibition opens tomorrow the 19 and runs until the 23 September 2008
