Going Wilde with Grace Jones in Shoreditch, London

Street Artist, printer and one time Shoreditch resident Aida (Previously on Hookedblog) graced the neighbourhood a visit over the May Bank Holiday weekend installing a series of vibrant pasteups featuring the iconic Grace Jones.

Now based in Hackney Wick this collection of street works from Aida have been entirely screen printed using various printing processes to create the images. With so many street artists pasting up multiple copies of the same black and white photocopied images again and again it's a joy to see these and we are impressive by volume of work that has gone into Aida's street pieces.

Four colour processes, neons and flocking (we had to look this one up! ) are some of the screen printing process used in her work featured here. A number of these street pieces included elements of collage which have also been screen printed adding another layer to these eye catching pasteups. Check out some of her works below which were discovered around Shoreditch and Bricklane, many of which are still up!

And should you want your own Grace Jones for your wall at home, we see Aida has produced some exclusive one off Grace Jones editions that are available from East London Gallery NELLY DUFF.
