Elate Launches a Blog

We bumped into London graffiti artist ‘Elate’ aka Jon Hammer at Black Rat Press for the Subway Art 25th Anniversary book launch last week. He dropped us an email this week to let us know he has recently launched a new blog called ‘Across the Tracks and Through the Looking Glass’, which promises to grow into a unique resource for intuitive art.

Known as ‘Elate’ during the graffiti heyday of the eighties Jon taught himself to paint classically in oil, producing an array of paintings with archetypal themes using realist and abstract technique. Jon's Graffiti work has been poping up around the Brick Lane area over the last few months and we can expect to see more in the future as Jon will shortly be opening a new gallery in a delightful period building at the top of Brick Lane. You can follow Jon on his blog here.
