Design your own Street Font

To tie in with the release of the excellent Street Fonts — Graffiti Alphabets Book complied by Claudia Walde, Don't Panic are running a 'design your own street font' competition.

The Street Fonts — Graffiti Alphabets book saw Claudia challenge over 154 artists to design all twenty-six letters of the Latin alphabet. Don't Panic and Thames and Hudson are giving you the chance to see your own street font displayed alongside those featured in Claudia Walde's new book at the book launch next month at Pure Evil Gallery. The top five winners will also receive a free copy of the book and an invitation to the private view and launch party. The overall winner will also receive £300 worth of Thames & Hudson books of their choice.

The brief is open to artists from all mediums, not just street art! Simply create your own alphabet, A to Z, follow the Don't Panic guidelines carefully and then upload your design to their site. You can upload from now, with voting opening on the 24th March, and closing on 8th April 2011. Good luck.
