A DANCE FOR JAPAN @ PLASTIC PEOPLE

A DANCE FOR JAPAN AT PLASTIC PEOPLE, FRIDAY 18TH MARCH WITH ASHLEY BEEDLE, LEO ZERO, FAZE ACTION, YAM WHO...

Following the tragic events that have unfolded in Japan over the last few days we have gathered together a group of DJs to bring you a Dance for Japan to raise money for the Japan earthquake and tsunami appeal. This event will be held at Plastic People in Shoreditch, London, on Friday 18th March.

DJ and promoter Andy Newcombe, who lived and worked in Japan for three years has put this event together as he felt "to sit and watch this catastrophic disaster live and do nothing is just not an option. Having spent a lot of time in Sendai City and Miyagi Prefecture over the past 15 years and made lots of close friends there I have to do what I can to help".

Two charities have been selected to receive money raised from the appeal. The first is the Japan Red Cross which was chosen by Andy's close friend Raita Utsumi who comes from Ishinomaki, one of the most devastated areas in Miyagi Prefecture. The second charity for online donations is GlobalGiving who are working with the International Medical Corps, Save the Children, and other organizations on the ground in Japan.

All the DJs who have donated their time for free have a strong tie to Japan whether it's through touring, fans, family, friends or being from Japan.

This is the time to come together and Dance for Japan.
