3D United Kingdoms PRINT

New print from 3D and published by Yo! What Happened to Peace?. This powerful print is a four color serigraph printed on 100% cotton, natural color paper. Its design is adapted from a stencil painting originally created for a Tony Blair article in Britain's New Statesman magazine. The artist calls it "the bastard flag child of Britain's Iraq..."

3D's actual name is Robert Del Naja. He was born and still resides in the United Kingdon and is a founding member of the trip-hop band, Massive attack. Though he is commonly known for his work with the group, he is also just as popular in the art scene as a talented graffiti and street artist. In the visual art realm, his works often carry strong political themes as he tends to be inspired by global government situations and environmental urgencies.. His artwork has been featured in magazines, on album covers and included in a variety of books.

Yo! What Happened to Peace? is a traveling peace and anti-war poster exhibition. It began in 2003 with 14 prints with an opening hosted by Cross World Connections in Tokyo as a response to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The exhibition is committed to highlighting the beauty of hand-crafted printmaking techniques as a method of visual protest, the show has traveled the globe continuously adding new artists and artwork.
